This Quad DVR looks like it will be a great addition for Comcast customers. I’m not sure it would beat the award winning Dual Tuner DVR that DISH Network has, but it could come close. I know as an employee/customer for DISH Network I have the Dual-tuner and love it. I can have a hook up in 2 rooms and not have to have an additional receiver in the 2nd room. It looks like with this Quad receiver you still have to have an additional box if you want the access in the other rooms. That is more cost and can end up being pricey. With Dish’s 922 that is already out you can record up to 100 hours of HD and it is 1 terabyte. So DISH is already ahead of the game with that. In addition the 922 has a sling adapter built in so you can watch your TV from any android phone or iPad from anywhere you are at. We will see if Comcast can compete with that.
